Northcote
Bio
Northcote is the project of Victoria, BC based singer/songwriter Matt Goud. With roots in punk and melodic hardcore Goud turns a page with Northcote drawing on a range of influences and years of tour experience as the landscape for new songs and expression. 2009 saw the arrival of Northcote with the debut EP Borrowed Chords, Tired Eyes (Black Box), which was followed in 2011 by the full length Gather No Dust (Black Box).
Since coming on the scene Northcote has been on the move touring across Canada headlining and as support for such notable acts as The Wooden Sky, Yukon Blonde, Library Voices, Chuck Ragan and many more. In the spring of 2012 Northcote hit the road across Canada in support of Gather No Dust. The summer and fall months will see Goud and Northcote working on new material and on the next step for the project.
With a commitment to touring and an ability to connect with a broad audience Northcote brings a unique voice to our musical landscape offering a unique commentary as told by a young but seasoned songwriter and performer.
