The Provincial Archive Win The Edmonton Music Prize
December 02 2014

We are very proud of The Provincial Archive, who were awarded the prestigious Edmonton Music Prize last night at an event in Edmonton for their album "It's All Shaken Wonder". The winner is selected by a panel of industry experts from a short list of 10 albums.

The band has just finished a busy month of touring, starting across Western Canada with The Strumbellas and continuing overseas supporting Germany's Talking To Turtles.

You can read more about their Edmonton Music Prize award via the Edmonton Journal, and pick up your copy of the award-winning album "It's All Shaken Wonder" on iTunes.

Congrats to Craig, Nathan, Bram, Ryan and Stephen on this fantastic achievement!

November 20 2014

Following her collaboration with Wolf Saga on a cover of The Strokes "You Only Live Once" which hit the top of Hype Machine last week, Lyon is back with her own new music. Check out "Cut Me Loose", premiered today via her SoundCloud and available for free download.

This is the first new track since her "Indian Summer" EP released last Fall, and a foreshadowing of what you can expect on her new record coming in early 2015. Take a listen, pass it around and let us know what you think!
News Roundup: Northcote, Lyon & The Provincial Archive
November 19 2014

It's been a minute since our last update here, but we've got a few pieces of exciting info to share!

NORTHCOTE
Having just completed a great (but COLD!) run across Canada with Twin Forks, Northcote is en route to Europe for their first ever headline tour there. They start in the UK on November 21st, and continue through the UK and Europe until December 13th including shows with Billy The Kid, John K Samson and Broilers.

To celebrate the beginning of the tour, Northcote has released a free EP called "Invisible Diamonds". The release features four tracks - three new ones, and a re-recording of the fan favourite, "Worry". You can download the EP for free right now via NOISETRADE (or in the widget below), or stream it on SOUNDCLOUD.

Limited physical copies will also be available off stage via Xtra Mile Recordings during the European tour. For the full list of tour dates and ticket links, visit NORTHCOTEMUSIC.COM.

LYON
If you missed it last week, Lyon was featured on a new Wolf Saga production - a cover of The Strokes "You Only Live Once". The track sat atop HYPE MACHINE for three solid days, generating over 130k plays. If you haven't checked it out yet, give it a spin below, and stand by for new music from Lyon in the coming days!

THE PROVINCIAL ARCHIVE
Coming off an extremely successful tour supporting The Strumbellas in Western Canada, The Provincial Archive are off to Europe for a string of dates alongside Germany's Talking To Turtles. You can get the full list of dates and ticket information at THEPROVINCIALARCHIVE.COM. If you missed their new video for "The Market", check that out below as well!
