Shad Named New Host of CBC Q
March 11 2015

We are absolutely ecstatic that Shad has been announced as the new permanent host of CBC Radio One's flagship program, Q. We have long contended that he is one of the most important voices in Canadian culture, and this platform will give him the opportunity to share that with Canada and the rest of the world. More than being one of the most critically acclaimed rappers in recent memory, Shad is a quality person, full of important ideas and insights, which is what endears him most to us and everyone who knows him.

Shad has been an extremely important part of our history at Black Box. He was the first non-rock artist that agreed to work with us, and the relationship spawned three amazing albums, three Polaris Short-List nominations and a 2011 Juno Award. We are so proud of the work Shad and his team have put in, and are happy to have been a part of his emergence over the last 8 years.

Congratulations to Shad, CBC and the whole team at Q on this exciting announcement. We couldn't think of a better candidate.
